woman, naked. in Saint John!

Hello Internet, today is Wednesday, September 14th, and tomorrow we open our one-weekend run of woman, naked. in Saint John, NB!

My friend and hero, Bernardine Stapleton, has written a brave and funny solo show about what it is to be a woman, and I have the immense privilege of directing her. We are in Saint John, New Brunswick this week, about to open the Saint John Theatre Company’s Canadian Stages Season, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We got in yesterday morning and have already enjoyed two rehearsals in the gorgeous studio space. We are also both totally enamored of Saint John, which welcomed us with cloudless blue skies, 20-degree weather, wonderful fresh food… and then a city-wide power outage. But within a couple of hours we were plugged back in and are raring to go!
