Let there be MUSIC!

Guys GUYS, I am going to PLAY MUSIC IN PUBLIC!

This coming Thursday, I will do a thing I have been talking about doing for… way, way too long. I will stand up on a stage, holding a guitar, with people I don’t know watching, and then, friends, I will PLAY THAT GUITAR.

This may seem like a pretty run-of-the-mill thing, but believe me, it isn’t. It isn’t run-of-the-mill at all, as witnessed by the fact that my friend and I have been talking the big talk about playing in public for almost two years and nothing has come of it. Until now.

My dear friends Jenn, Kim and Laura have a new(ish) company called Engine Productions, and they are having a fundraiser THIS THURSDAY, March 1st, starting at 9pm at the Levee (Holdsworth Court, on George St.). They are raising money for their upcoming production of The Shape of Things. Cover is $6.

So, reasons you should come:

1- $6!

2- 3for5 beers before midnight (I’m serious. Bring at least 2 friends.)

3- PIZZA if you get there early enough.

4- The new(ish) theatre company doing awesome plays that you’d be supporting.

5- Live music, followed by a DJ for dancing times.

6- $6!

And also… uh… it’s my first time ever playing the guitar in public. Ever. So, it would be great if you would come.
