Ack! Children!
In which Sharon talks about her first impressions of teaching tiny children.
On an unrelated note, have you seen this? It makes me happy.

Wonderful ..thanks a lot for posting a good informitive blog
You’re welcome! Thanks for reading it!
Aaah! little children! I’m jealous.
You should play “the laughing game” with them — it’s almost like mood therapy. I can’t remember if I invented this or stole it from somewhere, but you sit in a circle and every kid gets 10 seconds to laugh the best laugh that they can. The group then applauds if they liked it.
There is really no point beyond making everyone happy.
hugs, Tara
hey Sharon. Sing with them. Lots.
they are in the make believe stage. They won’t remember later what you did beyond the magic connections when it really really flew. So your job is teach patterns for safety, so the kid too shy to speak knows there is always space to, and use music for gear changes, so that they all know when its gearing up and they don’t miss the flying moments.
and who are these tiny children?
love to you E
They’re almost exclusively students at a Catholic primary school. The enrichment centre fills in the time between when the kids finish their school day at 2:15 and when their parents can pick them up at 5.
Thank you for your help – I’m sure I’ll be picking your brain when I come home next month! I’m teaching them Rose this afternoon.
Love to you too – and happy birthday!
